Justin Mulder, MA, RP (Qualifying)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hi, I’m Justin. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based techniques, shaped by the belief that each person brings a unique story, set of values, and life experiences to therapy. I work alongside my clients to create a compassionate and tailored space for growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Many of my clients come to therapy to strengthen their self-worth, explore their identity, build assertiveness, or navigate uncertainty about the future. My practice is informed by a deep respect for neurodiversity and the understanding that therapy should honour and empower each client’s individuality. I also have experience supporting clients living with suicidal thoughts, personality disorders, and the effects of losing a family member, a romantic partner, or the companionship of a pet.

My work integrates person-centered, narrative, emotion-focused, and cognitive-behavioural strategies. Together, we uncover and reframe unhelpful patterns, cultivate resilience, and enhance communication—whether with others, your environment, or your own inner voice. I believe that healing often begins with understanding your own story and how you relate to the world around you.

When I am not in session, I regularly find myself hiking out in nature, exploring my creative endeavours with an analog camera by my side, and staying active by going for runs along the various lakeshore pathways. I also take care of myself by spending some quiet time with a good book and a fresh cup of coffee.

Therapy with me is a collaborative process: I’m here to listen without judgment, help you see your strengths, and walk alongside you as you navigate life’s complexities. If you’re seeking a compassionate, holistic approach that focuses on both understanding and action, I would be honoured to work with you.
