Stephanie Alipanopoulos, MEd, RP (Qualifying)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hi, I’m Stephanie. My work is grounded in collaboration, compassion, and unconditional acceptance for my clients. I believe that all patients bring a unique perspective along with ample life experiences that should be used to guide their therapeutic journey, incorporating evidence-based techniques along the way.

My approach is informed by the belief that patients are not defined by their issues or challenges, but rather that these aspects are merely parts of their identity as a whole. Incorporating the important details of one’s personal identity and beliefs is a valued aspect of our therapeutic relationship. Integrating this approach with evidence-based strategies of cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, person-centered, and narrative therapy, I am positive we can find an approach to best fit your needs.

Many patients come to therapy with a specific challenge or problem they wish to work through, while others may not have as clear of a goal. Either way, by working together with a collaborative approach, we can identify the specific goals and wishes you would like to achieve.

My self-care activities include spending time with family and friends, reading a good fantasy novel, watching bad reality TV, and I am always listening to music whenever I can. I also like to engage in some creative hobbies such as woodworking and furniture restoration.

Beginning your therapeutic experience can seem intimidating at first, but I guarantee that together we can find the best approach for you. I look forward to getting to know you better and learning how to support you through whatever life has to offer.
