Celene Roussel, MA, RP (Virtual)
Registered Psychotherapist
Hi, I'm Celene. My approach is grounded in compassion, empathy, and evidence-based techniques. I integrate a background in law enforcement with my passion for mindfulness and psychodynamic therapy to create a unique and effective path to healing. I specialize in helping individuals work through trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions.
Trauma can impact us in countless ways, often making us feel disconnected, overwhelmed, and stuck. With nearly a decade of experience in law enforcement, I’ve seen firsthand how these challenges can unfold and how vital it is to have the proper support. I work with patients to understand the root of their distress and to help them build effective coping strategies to navigate life’s ups and downs. Whether patients are grappling with intense emotions, old wounds, communication hurdles, or lasting effects of prolonged trauma exposure, I’m committed to providing the support needed to move patients forward with resilience.
I offer virtual sessions from my home-base in Nova Scotia. Conducting sessions virtually allows patients to receive support from the comfort of their own space. It also allows me to be a growing part of the great work that CREW continues to invest in for responsible mental healthcare. Whether you're balancing a busy schedule or simply prefer the flexibility of online therapy, I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for meaningful growth and healing.
I live with my husband and our two rescue dogs, Hershey and Link. In my spare time, you can often find me lost in a psychological thriller or exploring the outdoors on a hike.
Taking the first step toward seeking therapy can often feel daunting, but I want to assure you that you are not alone. If you are ready to embark on this journey, please contact me to schedule a session. I look forward to walking alongside you.
